Chino Otsuka : Imagine Finding Me
Chino Otsuka uses photography and video to explore the fluid relationship between the memory, time and photography. At age 10 she moved from Japan to the United Kingdom to attend school. Her experience of becoming familiar with a new place, a different language and new customs while she was developing her adolescent identity has profoundly shaped her work in photography, video and writing. Her series Imagine Finding Me consists of double self-portraits, with images of her present self beside her past self in various places she has visited. As Otsuka says: “The digital process becomes a tool, almost like a time machine, as I’m embarking on the journey to where I once belonged and at the same time becoming a tourist in my own history.” - via AGO

Hi! and.. thanks! <3 I always fancied a play on words, so I figured protagonist had a nice ring. That and I always felt suiting for me? I used a part of my name/nick that I’m called and changed the ‘t’ to an ‘e’. I was running around with the name antagonise too, haha.
edit: duh I totally wrote this on my other blog. but I merged proton + ise to get protonise just to flow with protagonise. OTL
Like a lot of people, I’ve sort of left my mayoral duties to Isabelle in order to become a pokemon master.
In two days, I’ll probably be picking up Ace Attorney 5, and next month, a Link Between Worlds is coming out. So busy!

This is, like, the second* Animal Crossing comic that’s made me tear up recently :(
Lupin the Third live action film confirmed, releasing summer 2014!
It’s finally happening! Filming for the official live action Lupin movie began in Japan during last month. A further two weeks of shooting will take place in Thailand during the new year.
The film is set for release summer next year and sees all five of the main cast in the spotlight. Monkey Punch himself, while not looking to be directly involved with the film, has given his blessing and states that he is pleased with the casting.
Here is a quotation from the article posted up on Anime News Network earlier today:
Monkey Punch’s Lupin III manga and anime franchise is getting a live-action film adaptation in summer 2014 starring actor Shun Oguri (Captain Harlock, Hana Yori Dango, Gokusen, Space Brothers). Oguri underwent 10 months of action training for the role, losing 8 kilograms (about 17.6 pounds).
Additional cast members include Meisa Kuroki (Space Battleship Yamato , Crows Zero II) as Fujiko Mine, Tetsuji Tamayama (NANA, Casshern) as Daisuke Jigen, Gou Ayano (Ushijima the Loan Shark, Rurouni Kenshin, Helter Skelter, Bunny Drop) as Goemon Ishikawa, and Tadanobu Asano (Thor, 47 Ronin) as Detective Koichi Zenigata.
Ryuhei Kitamura (Godzilla: Final Wars, Azumi) is directing the film, and Mataichiro Yamamoto (Crows Zero, Azumi) is writing the script.
The movie will chronicle how the five main characters meet and how they become the “Lupin Crew.”
The film will also include an original character, Lupin’s nemesis named Michael Lee, who will be played by Jerry Yan (Meteor Garden), a member of the Taiwanese popular group F4. Other cast members include South Korean actor Kim Joon (South Korean Hana Yori Dango) and Thai actor Thanayong Wongtrakul (The Man from Nowhere).
The live action film has been rumoured for quite some time now. Like it or not, this time it appears to actually be happening! We can only hope that this will be part of an exciting year for Lupin fans in 2014, with a rumoured TV series also in the works.
We will keep you up-to-date with any news regarding the film as it happens.
